I can't believe that it is 2012. It just seemed like yesterday that it was Y2K. People probably still have their supplies from that.

Musings
I am absolutely heartbroken, heartshaken, devastated about what is happening in Japan. You would have to be a very cruel person to not be. I was crying last night over it, saying there was no hope and the man reminded me that there is always hope. I guess sometimes hope is the only thing that you have. Don't let anyone tell you this is because it's the end times. No it's because there was an earthquake.
The Bible says no one knows the time and date of Christ's return and if anyone tells you otherwise, they are wrong,

so there is your bible lesson for today.
It was interesting to read that despite the tragedy that is unfolding there is no rioting and looting going on. Someone was quoted that the reason for this was: "we have been raised to do nothing that brings shame on our families". I like that. To not bring shame. That needs to be stitched on a pillow.
The man has been working the 12 hour days/ 7 days a week and is exhausted. He was supposed to work this past weekend and ended up being off; They drew straws and he was off saturday and then was to work sunday and then they called in the evening and called off sunday. He slept most of Saturday and Sunday. If he's asleep I don't wake him so he got lots of sleep. We went out saturday morning and went to get his drivers license picture taken and then went to eat n park in greensburg for breakfast. Sunday we went to church. That was our weekend.
I haven't gone back to work yet. I keep "debating". I think I need to, because I really am not very productive when I am home all day with nothing to do. It' not like I am an obsessive cleaner or anything.hahahah I think dave wishes I was. I say, hmmm I need to run the sweeper and then the next day I say Hmmmm I need to run the sweeper, ad infinitum (until infinity). I feel better about myself when I am working too and I certainly like having the money. Of course I am the worst decision maker on the planet. Mixed feelings, my laziness says "stay home" and my pocketbook says "go to work" . Who will win the debate?
Well, I have to go chase a bigger bird (starling) out of the little bird's (sparrow) birdhouse, those starling drive me nuts. It goes to the birdhouse and sticks it's head in the hole and rips the nest out of it and flings all the stuff on the ground, The little birds sit on the fence grumbling. I go to the door and loudly go "ACK ACK" and chase the starlings. Then the little birds go back. This usually takes 3 or 4 "acks" before the starling realizes I am chasing it and leaves the little birds alone. The starling is such a bully--does this every year. :( The boy thinks it's funny when I open the door and go "ack ack!" Today when I did it I got the neighborhood dogs all barking. Morning doggies!
Really nothing else is new around here. House needs cleaned, the bills need paid, the laundry needs done, supper needs cooked. Jethro is good; The boy is good. Pray for Japan.

A Little Good News
I read in the paper today that Krystofer (from yesterday's post) is doing well and WILL RECOVER from his injuries. He was shot in the forehead above the eye and apparently it missed all the important stuff, and left some bone fragments. And the other went in the rear end and the bullet is still in there, but will be removed. Please continue to pray for him and his family, as well as the families of the men who died.

Sadness
A terrible thing happened yesterday. A young man we know, Krystofer Schneider, was shot. He is 25 years old. The father of two. He is an airman in the U. S. Air Force. He was on a bus waiting for the bus to leave for a deployment to Afghanistan when a young man stormed the bus and started shooting. The bus driver and two airmen were killed; Krystofer and another airman were critically injured. He was shot in the head and in the back-end.
His parents are living this nightmare. They are going to Germany tomorrow to see their older son. They want the soldiers out of this senseless war. I don't blame them.
This is the real tragedy of war. People are shot, people are killed, people's lives are destroyed. What for? Politics generally. Money, oil. It's like the Hatfields and the McCoys. The fighting never seems to stop.
They are calling the young man who shot them a terrorist. Before yesterday he was considered a pretty normal 21 year old kid. A muslim from a muslim family that has lived in Germany for 40 years. Then he became a terrorist. Is this one of those "death by cop" kind of things? Was he doing this so he would get shot? Today the normal 21 year old kid is a terrorist; a serial killer; He has committed a capital crime. I pray that Allah forgives him. I know alot of people that won't.

Saturday!
Well, it's Saturday. Got to sleep in, which is nice. The boys just went to THE HOME DEPOT. My bed is broken. Yes. Broken. It was so funny for my son to come down this morning and say "hey did you know your bed is a wreck?" HAHAHAH! I said, "yes, we got a little wild this morning!" His response? You are a sick woman. LOL!
I am going to have a REDNECK bed. I married someone just like my grandfather. It would be so easy to just go buy a new bedframe. But no. This will have 2 x 4s involved. ::sigh:: My mistake; I should have gone to buy a frame and brought it home, BEFORE I pointed out that the old one was twisted.
